We changed this for e.g. RTBF, now the VoD is created as soon as possible once the program/event end and not the event channel While the VoD is being created we use the DVR buffer for catchup.
Ok thnks for providing this background. Didn't know. Then I leave it to Jonas R. to decide whether this is a limitation that needs to be addressed (and offers enough business value to address it) or current implementation is good enough.
Anders S mentioned that the current implementation works as designed and if we want to avoid the mentioned limitation, this should be handled as a new requirement/feature request.
I would consider this a limitation and it should indeed be improved. This should be on the agenda of Team Stream (I'm not 100% sure, but I think I read that Anders S is already aware of it, which usually means that we get it fixed).
yes, that exists, but there is a limitation when there are multiple live-events one after another using the same input source. In that case the live2vod does not get generated immediately after the first event is completed, but when "last event" which uses the same input source ends
This is already available today. You can select to create a Live2VOD object when scheduling a live event, see screenshot. The option is checked by default.

Hi Markus!
